Our mission

Calmness of Nature is an independent Sri Lankan travel and nature publication created to help readers discover the island’s peaceful landscapes, wildlife, culture and outdoor experiences. We publish practical guides about Sri Lanka’s beaches, waterfalls, forests, mountains, national parks, rural communities, food traditions and places of spiritual significance. Our goal is to combine inspiring stories with useful information that helps readers plan responsible and memorable journeys. Our approach We aim to make every guide clear, useful and honest. Information is researched using reliable sources and reviewed before publication. When details such as entrance fees, opening times, weather conditions or travel restrictions may change, readers should confirm them with the relevant venue or authority before travelling. We encourage visitors to respect local communities, religious sites, wildlife and natural environments. This includes following local rules, avoiding wildlife disturbance, reducing waste and supporting responsible local businesses.
